The history of Musical Instruments Garijo officially started in 1924.
The company created by flutist Manuel Garijo in Calle Santiago 8 in Madrid becomes from the first moment a place of obligatory appointment for all professional musicians and amateurs of the country.
The main bands and orchestras, soloists, composers, directors, arrangers and a long etcetera of personages related to the music in Spain trusted in a name: Garijo.
With the passage of time, the one that was the first customer service center in Garijo, is insufficient to develop the commercial activity. For this reason, just a few meters from the original location opens a second establishment with more than 700 square meters of exhibition, testing room and offices, intended exclusively for the sale of instruments, scores and accessories related to classical instruments. This new space offers an extensive exhibition of pianos, wind-wood and wind-metal instruments, symphonic percussion, bow instruments, sheet music ...
In 1982 a new stage begins. Mundimúsica Garijo begins its activities continuing the line that during 54 years had been its constant. It gives rise to modern computer systems for a greater agility in the attention to our clients, it creates an Editorial Department that soon would be awarded by the Ministry of Culture, it develops a own record label that serves of support to the Spanish interpreters and that obtains Various awards in our country.
Nowadays and in the XXI Century, our work continues. New brands have been incorporated into Mundimúsica Garijo: SANKYO, BUFFETT, JUPITER, FOSSATI, MOOSMAN, SALVI, GUNTER K, GAMIERI, MAJESTIC, BERGERAULT, YAMAHA, SELMER, BACH ...
We have expanded the departments of percussion, bow and editions, and strengthened our workshops of wind and lutheria with the only.
