Selmer Supreme Tenor Saxophone
Following the success of the alto, the French brand has completed the creation of the new Selmer Supreme Tenor Saxophone, using their renowned expertise, perfectly controlled manufacturing tools, and the advice of top-tier artists.
A few days ago we announced the arrival of the Selmer Muse Clarinet to the family, today we can announce another significant addition: the new Selmer Supreme Tenor Saxophone, which is now available for any saxophonist to enjoy.
Features of the Selmer Supreme Tenor Saxophone
The flexibility and light feel of historical models have been combined with the precision and intonation typical of modern models. We are thus faced with a powerful tenor saxophone, refined in its sound details, and which does not neglect the visual aspect and a very good feel in the hands.
Innovations
The design of this new tenor from Selmer is based on modifying the diameters of the tone holes, along with smaller key sizes and reduced key travel. On these left-hand keys, the mother-of-pearl has been realigned to achieve a more natural finger position. Rollers have also been used for the G# key, offering greater mechanical fluidity.
The more general construction innovations are seen in the new neck bore, the maillechort neck tightening ring, and a new bell.
Speaking of sound, it has an impressive projection combined with greater playing flexibility, balanced intonation, and a rich timbre combined with roundness in the sound emission.
On a more aesthetic level, as with the alto saxophone, the Supreme tenor features Selmer's well-known traditional engraving. It combines symbols of nature and universality.
