If COMBRE editions are today among the major French musical editions, their origins date back only a little over a quarter of a century. The acquisition of many funds such as Philippo, Dupuy, Marchetti, Roudanez, Lemarié, Hérelle (works for Organ and Church music), Gallet, Malezieux, Massau, Noël, Thibaux ... mean that its history could have more 'a century of existence.

Today, publishing is more particularly oriented towards music education (methods, musical training), collections of instrumental pieces, ensemble music for all levels.

The edition also has series of graduated collections of classical works adapted for different instruments: "The classical guitar", "The new classical saxophone", "The classical clarinet", "The new classical violin", "The classical trombone" , "The classic double bass", etc ... and recently published: "The classic horn", "The classic bassoon", "The classic tuba".

Over the years, COMBRE editions have been enriched by numerous composers, including Stéphane BLET, a young concert performer, who writes works for piano and is a member of numerous competition juries. They also brought to light some forgotten people in the history of music, including Désiré PAQUE, Belgian composer (144 opus). Gabriel-Pierre BERLIOZ, who composed 6 Concertos and Maurice JOURNEAU.

COMBRE editions had the honor and also the sadness to publish the last works of Jean LANGLAIS and Raymond GALLOIS-MONTBRUN.

The edition adopts a longer-term policy by publishing works for symphonic orchestra, concert band, with or without choirs, operas for children.
